TN Center for Education views education as the foundation for change and development in all spheres of human life. Its Programs and modes of action shall be planned and tailored with emphasis on interfacing and linkages of educational issues with the real life situation.
Programs and lines of action of the TN Centre shall focus around the themes and priority areas described as under.

 

 Research and Studies
Sponsor and undertake research based projecs and studies focused on:

• Selected aspects of contemporary issues of education in Nepal.
• Historical analysis of educational development and change in Nepal.
• Management, administration, quality of educational contents, processes and methodologies of public and private schools.
• Issues pertaining quality of educational contents and methods.
• Linkages and contributions of education and policies.

Innovative Projects
Formulate innovative education projects aimed at improving access and quality of education for all as appropriate and identify potential sponsors and donors for support.

Focal Point Schools for Action Research, Financial aid/scholarship vouchers
Adopt selected ( 3-5 to start with ) schools as its grassroots level reference schools to which it will mobilize professional back up support for planning execution for educational programs. Educational enterprises, business firms, philanthropic groups and private citizens will be approached for sponsorship and support in the form of financial aid and scholarship vouchers to metitorious students for augmenting educational expenses for thepurchase of books, community based activities for promotion of civic values and responsibilities, and for pursuing self directed study and research in the chosen field of specialization.

Seminars, Workshops and Conferences
Organize and support interactive seminars, workshops, conferences and lecture series on selected topics of contemporary priority issues of Nepalese education as appropriate.

Exchange of Professors, Teachers, Students, Parents and Community Change Agents
Initiate and support programs designed to promote and facilitate the concept of exchage and sharing of educational experience among and between teachers, parents, students and educational institutions within and outside the country. Sharing and exchange would be a valuable tool for preparing the upcoming Neplease youth to face future challenges ahead of them more effectively.

Individual Donor Contrrributions
In areas which fall within the scope of TN Centre, it will make provisions for generating and setting up separate voluntary contribution of funds for specific purposes as desired by the contributing party. Arrangements will be made for utilization for such contributions within the parameters desired by the contributor. Specialized committees with defined terms of reference will be constitued with representation of the contributor to guide and overseas the execution of the targeted objecive and utilization of such funds.

Special Education Awards
Individuals and/or organizations who have made outstanding contributions for the development of education in Nepal will be recognized with specific awards and honors. Normally such awards will be announced once every two years.

Publications
Bring out periodic and occasional publications focused on key contemporary issues pertaining to education and development in Nepal for effective sharing and dissemination.
